SEO Audit Blog
Dublin, 01.04.2025 – In an effort to optimize my website I installed the plugin “All In One SEO” on my WordPress dashboard. It analyzes your website’s SEO utilization giving you a rating based on the outcome. Because I downloaded it at the same time as my other plugins I used it from the get go.
When I was ready to start writing this article it gave me an SEO-Rating of 88/100. It highlighted positively that my website’s title had a good length, that I had a decently written meta description, as well as having an H1 and H2-Tag on my site and all my used pictures having alt attributes. Under the criteria “advanced SEO” it furthermore highlighted the site having a canonical link, not using a noindex-header and -meta-tags, and additionally all mandatory open-graph-meta-tags being found. The program also looks at website-performance and safety. Under performance it praised my server for using expires-headers for my pictures, the size of my HTML-Document being 34KB and my response time being less than 0,2 seconds. Lastly when it came to measuring security it highlighted my directory listing seeming to be deactivated, google not marking my website as malware and it using a safe transmission protocol (https.). It had 4 problems for me to optimize which included some parts of java script and css-files not being minimized and as a result of this my website putting up to many inquiries, as well as not having enough internal links.
To combat these issues I downloaded two plugins which go by the names: “Autoptimize” and “Internal Link Juicer”. Autoptomize helps to minify JavaScript and CSS Files while Internal Link Juicer assists in connecting your post with internal links and key words. With the help of these plugins I hoped to minimize the files and get a better rating.
I managed to achieve a final score of 94/100 with the plugin stating that 50-75 qualifies as a very good score and advising when striving for the best results reaching 70 and above. This qualifies my website as excellent when it comes to the topic of SEO.
The only thing I was not able to fix was my site having 48 requests, but I checked the websites speed and did not notice any uncomfortable slowness.
